1. Design
According to the requirements of the producer and combined with the surrounding environmental factors, the
stone carving designer will design an intention drawing or rendering. After repeated confirmation and revision by the producer, the specifications and dimensions will be determined.
2. Drawing deepening
That is to make a detailed drawing, also called a production and processing drawing. The size of each detail is marked on the drawing, which is confirmed by the producer again. After confirmation, it is archived, and at the same time, it is sought from the stone carving manufacturer for processing and production.
3. Make a sample
(1) Let the producer confirm the shape of the
stone sculpture and feel the stone sculpture more intuitively, and propose modifications to the stone sculpture.
(2) The production master makes a one-to-one mold based on the sample and enlarges it according to the proportion, which is used to make the mold for the stone sculpture. Mold tires are divided into two types: mud tires and foam tires. The mold tires are repeatedly modified and confirmed according to the production drawings. After meeting the requirements, they are turned into a harder mold.
4. Opening and labeling
According to the characteristics of the mold, separate different parts of the mold into multiple small pieces and label them. After labeling, cut the sample with paper and paste it on the mold. Cut it into sample paper according to the size of the piece and label it. Cut the material according to the sample paper.
5. Forging
After cutting out the material, the stone carving piece is repeatedly forged and compared with the mold until it completely matches the mold.
6. Welding (splicing)
Splice the forged pieces together according to the numbers and weld them firmly.
7. Polishing
Polish the welding points smoothly. This process is a slow and meticulous process. First use coarse sandpaper, then fine sandpaper to polish until the joints are no longer visible and the entire stone sculpture is integrated.
8. Surface treatment
(1) Original color is the original color of the raw material.
(2) Spray painting, commonly used fluorocarbon paint, that is, automotive paint, can be sprayed into a variety of colors according to production requirements.
9. Packaging, transportation and installation
