stone mountain carving is also called concrete stone carving, and it is also a kind of stone carving material. Next, the stone mountain carving manufacturer will tell you in detail how to solve the cracks in stone mountain carving. Follow us to find out.
(1) avoid water and gray thick
People often ignore the influence of water consumption on the strength of concrete. In order to facilitate pouring and pounding during construction, sometimes the mix ratio is not carefully implemented, and the concrete is mixed very thinly. According to the editor of Shishan Carving, since the water required for hydration is only about 20% of the weight of the stone carving, many pores will be left in the concrete after the excess water evaporates, and these pores will reduce the strength of the concrete. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring the compactness of the pouring, the mixing water should be minimized.
Many people think that the more plastered
stone sculpture are used, the stronger the plastering layer will be. In fact, the more stone carving is used, the thicker the mortar will be, and the greater the volume shrinkage of the plastering layer will be, resulting in more cracks. In general, when plastering, first use 1:(3-5) coarse mortar to plaster the leveling layer, and then use 1:(1.5-2.5) stone carving mortar to spread a very thin surface layer, and avoid using too much stone carving.
(2) Avoid impure aggregate
If there is dust, clay or other organic impurities in the sand and stone used as the aggregate of concrete or stone carving mortar, it will affect the bonding strength between the stone carving and sand and stone, thus reducing the compressive strength. Therefore, if the impurity content exceeds the standard, it must be cleaned before it can be used.
(3) Avoid acid corrosion
The acidic substance and the calcium hydroxide in the stone carving will have a neutralization reaction, and the volume of the product will loosen and shrink, and it will be easily hydrolyzed and pulverized when it meets water. According to the editor of Shishan Carving, the concrete or plaster layer is gradually corroded and collapsed, so stone sculpture should not be corroded by acid.
In places or containers exposed to acidic substances, acid-resistant mortar and stone sculpture should be used. Slag stone sculpture, volcanic ash stone sculpture and fly ash stone sculpture all have good acid resistance. The editor of Shishan Carving believes that these three stone sculpture should be preferred to prepare acid-resistant mortar and concrete. Ordinary stone sculpture are not allowed in projects that strictly require acid and corrosion resistance.
