Marble Sculpting production process: Before making the finished product, first use specific clay sculpture materials to create the corresponding product. After the clay sculpture is completed, the outer mold of the stone sculpture is turned over, and then the Marble Sculpting (i.e. resin and glass silk cloth combination) is applied to the inside of the outer mold. After it is completely dry, open the outer mold and go through the mold closing process to obtain the finished Marble Sculpting. However, after being exposed to the sun and wind erosion outdoors, Marble Sculpting generally begin to deform, become fragile and easily crack after five years or more.
Marble Sculpting is a finished type of
stone carving. It has the characteristics of light weight, corrosion resistance and relatively low cost. Marble Sculpting is also called FRP, scientifically called fiber reinforced plastic, and it is customary in China to call it Marble Sculpting. It is a composite material composed of synthetic resin as the matrix material and glass fiber and its products as reinforcing materials.
Stone carving film is used for products with a small quantity or complex linear shapes that are difficult to demould. For example, if you want to make an integral elbow, including a 90° bend, you can use two Huff elbows as master molds. After filling the inner 90° cavity with stone sculpture, remove the Huff master mold, and slightly mold the stone carving mold core. After trimming, the outer wall is covered with Marble Sculpting, and after solidification, heating is performed to melt the stone sculpture and flow out, and a complete Marble Sculpting product can be obtained.
In order to reduce shrinkage deformation and improve stiffness, about 5% stearic acid can be added to the stone sculpture. It is easy to manufacture, easy to demould, and the stone carving can be used repeatedly. But the accuracy is not high. Another usage: When rolling the pipe by wet method, the steel pipe can be immersed in the stone sculpture melted at 70~80℃, lifted up to cool and then immersed again. Repeat until the required thickness is reached. The surface can be covered with slight modification. For Marble Sculpting, in order to prevent the stone carving from cracking, you can add a small amount of butter to the wax. You can also cover the outside of the wax with a thin layer of cellophane and use it as a mold core. After the Marble Sculpting is solidified, you can heat the steel pipe stone carving to melt it and you can demould.
